Learn To Sew Studio

  I pulled together a group of six ladies to do a "beginners" sewing class. We made a large tote bag and had the best time! Marie and her friend Terry were wonderful to work with.

They were prepared for us as we arrived, and even had cookies baked! They were great at introducing us to sewing and adjusting the lesson based on skillsets.

I would LOVE to do this again, it was a great price and a great time. Highly recommend!

  I am so thrilled we found Marie and her wonderful studio! My 8 year old daughter loves learning how to sew and has so much fun at class she doesn't want to leave. Marie is an excellent teacher and I am so impressed with the projects she teaches the kids. Marie also is very on top of keeping track of food allergies and not offering snacks with any allergen in them. You can see that this is more than just a business to her, she really adores teaching and the kids and they adore her. I do too! She keeps the classes small so she can give them each individual attention. I also love that Marie offers classes earlier in the day for families like us who homeschool and it's such a treat for my daughter to have classmates who are homeschooled as well. Though we are almost at the end of the class season, we are looking forward to attending some of the summer camps she offers and classes next fall!

  My daughter has been taking sewing lessons with Marie for several months now - she even had a sewing birthday party at her sewing studio!! It has been such a positive experience. Marie is so kind and patient with her students, and my daughter comes home with impressive projects! (Pillows, stuffies, clothes for stuffies, a skirt, the list goes on and on!)   Marie's studio is simply wonderful ! My 10 year old daughter has enjoyed countless camps at Learn To Sew Studio. She's built so much sewing confidence, learned many new sewing skills and techniques, and just had a great time! Marie is patient, kind, and so knowledgeable. Her calm and patient personality makes for an awesome learning experience. I've been highly recommending her studio to as many friends as possible!

  Went to Learn to Sew Studios with some friends for a sewing lesson last Friday evening. Most of us had very limited sewing experience and Marie was so patient and kind helping us all learn this skill and make a beautiful bag. The environment was inviting and fun. Marie even made us delicious cookies! Great experience and looking forward to returning another time.

  This was such a positive experience! My son wanted to learn how to sew for a class he's taking and we bought his first sewing machine. The owner taught him how to use it and he made a cool bag in the one session!
She was so helpful and kind. Was a 1:1 session and her studio is very inviting. Would be a great place to get a group of kids or adults together for a group session too.

  Learn to sew was great find. My daughter took a private lesson with the one and only Marie in her new location conveniently close to the beach in Carlsbad. She sewed me a pillow that I will cherish for a lifetime. I will recommend learn to sew studio to all my friends.

  My 9 year old daughter took private lessons with Marie and loved it. She had very little prior experience and Marie got her right into making stuffed animals and other items on her first day. She couldn't have been happier with the lessons which is a testament to Marie's patience and skill at getting her students up the learning curve quickly by giving them practical experience creating things that are fun. Strong 5/5 recommendation.

  My daughter has taken a summer camp and a private lesson from Marie. She is a wonderful teacher, and my child learned so much about sewing! They created beautiful projects, bags, stuffies, pillows, etc. My daughter adores Marie. She is patient and kind and we are grateful to her for her expertise and her warmth.
The studio is spacious and bright in an easy location in Carlsbad.

  Marie was so patient. She could even teach me to sew a purse in only two hours. I'm ready to move on to hemming my husband's pants.

  Since I was a little girl, I have wanted to learn to sew. I finally got my chance when I took an afternoon class at Learn to Sew Studio. Marie taught me how to operate a sewing machine with skill and speed. She was knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. What a natural teacher! I left her studio feeling confident that I knew how to sew. I plan to retake her class, advance to the next level, and make one of her chic backpacks. Now will take some extra instruction on Marie's part, but I know she's up to the challenge!
